INtroduction to Frogs
Location/ EcosystemFrogs live all around the world!They live in ponds. The reasons for why they live in ponds is because they lay their eggs in water, which then cling on to the pond weeds.
Frogs are carnivores and they love to eat flies, mosquitoes, moths, and dragonflies! Quite an appetite, don't you think? Frogs are at the bottom of the food chain and they get eaten by snakes, dogs, foxes, bass, pikes, hawks, seagulls, and even humans! |
Frog PhysiologyFrogs have respiratory organs which help oxygen go through the lungs. Frogs also have circulatory organs which help pump the blood throughout the body. They also have digestive organs which help digest the foods the frogs consume. They have Urinary organs which help them pee well. Reproductive organs is also something frogs have, helps them reproduce. They also have body fat to store energy.

Life Cycle/SpeciesThere are about 4,740 different species of frogs around the world. You can tell the frogs apart by their colors. For example, the beautiful bright color frogs are the poisonous frogs.
There are four stages for frogs. The first part of their cycle is being an egg. The next stage is hatching into a tadpole. Then, they are metamorphosis. Finally, they become adult frogs! |
